I gained a PhD in economics from the University of Auckland in 2005 and I was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Institute of Economic Research at Hitotsubashi University from 2006 to 2008.
I worked as a lecturer in economics at the University of Auckland for five years before moving into full-time consulting at Covec.
I have more than 20 years of consulting experience. As a consultant, I have successfully led and delivered many projects for leading business and government organisations in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.
I have also served as an advisor to Figure.NZ.
In 2014 I started my own consulting business to work as an independent data scientist and economist. I specialise in applying data analysis and economic models to commercial and policy issues, and evaluation, for public and private sector clients. I also regularly collaborate with other consultants where I bring data science and economics expertise to larger teams. I am experienced at leading and managing complex consulting projects and I offer personal, responsive service that provides excellent value for money to my clients.
